your terrible muriel.....so many wrong things about this portrait, yet its all so right at the same time, babies face is priceless, husband was clearly forced to wear the matching outfit to compliment his daughter and to center his wives to-die-for floral sweater. Im sure he was probably too miserable too care anyway. The wife clearly dominates over him, and you can tell she thinks she looked real hot that day.

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

A weekend colour supplement requires an editorial photograph for a double page spread to compliment an article on ‘childhood memories’. The shot has to evoke nostalgia, warmth, security, tenderness and the fun on the complete opposite depending upon the photographers reading of the brief. Regardless of interpretation, the result depends greatly on the emotive use of light to fulfil the brief. NB – “Appropriate” focus over area shown in set-up.
